competition....We believe NY-Breds offer the most value as
racing prospects given their eligibility to participate in the lucrative NY-
Bred incentive program, coupled with the limited number of foals that
qualify to race in NY-Bred restricted races.
2009 - 2011 saw the smallest crops of NY-Breds, yet these
thoroughbreds will have the opportunity to compete for the richest
prizes in New York Racing with the infusion of revenue from VLTs.

provide clients and partners with a competitive edge to share in over
$60,000,000 per year designated exclusively for NY-bred horses.
NY-Breds in New York are running for some of the richest purses in the nation.
- In 2008 -- NY-Breds won 131 stakes events and foals born in NY earned over
$81 million throughout the US and the world.
- In 2009, the New York State Thoroughbred Breeding and Development Fund
paid:
- $6,300,452 to breeders of registered New York-breds.
- $2,370,035 in stallion owner awards.
- $1,107,667 to owners of registered NY-breds in open-company races
Course and Finger Lakes Racetrack exclusively for registered New York-breds, with
total purses of over $4 million. In 2009, over 900 overnight races were run
exclusively for registered New York-breds.
