REMARKABLE HORSES.  PASSIONATE PEOPLE.  THOROUGHBRED-OWNERSHIP REDEFINED.  1-877-WINS-BIG
It is my goal in the
thoroughbred business to
be instrumental in
manifesting the change I
want to see (Gandhi) --
that being a truly better
life for horses and the
people who love them.

UR Stable differentiates
itself by example --
responsible breeding,
conscientious racing and
timely transition our
thoroughbreds into other
careers.

Horses are living, feeling,
beautiful and willing
creatures; they trust us
and do what we ask of
them to the best of their
ability. When they are
selectively mated for
strong bone, stamina,
soundness and durability,
AND raised in a holistic
environment with
hands-on management,
balanced nutrition and
hoofcare,
then, --
and only then,
are they
"bred to race".

- Susan Kayne
Susan grew up on a horse farm in New York's Capital Region, and has been in love with horses from
infancy. Though an English rider since childhood, thoroughbred racing is her passion; her earliest
equine memory is that of watching Canonero II win the Kentucky Derby in 1971. As a teenager, Kayne
worked as an exercise rider for several trainers at the Saratoga Racecourse and continued the same for
top trainers Todd Pletcher, Bill Mott, and Christophe Clement through 2005. During this time and into
adulthood, she also won many jumping championships aboard ex-racehorses on the A show circuit while
training with Olympian Neal Shapiro and Puissance champion Anthony D'Ambrosio, Jr.

At age 17, Kayne became involved in her first racing partnership, pin-hooking the then yearling, Skip
Trial, who would go on to earn $1,837,451 at the track. Kayne has acted in various capacities for many
partnerships since then, breeding, owning, galloping, buying/selling and managing thoroughbreds. She
has been involved with Circle of Light ($305, 975), Congruent EF ($52, 918), Finder's Reward ($171,
006),  Jabotinsky ($123,892),  Joy Hoy ($68,176), Lucifer's Stone ($405, 991), Sovereign Rullah
($100,000+), and Tax The Queen ($166,085).

In 1984, HRH Queen Elizabeth II recognized Kayne's excellence in horsemanship with an invitation to
the Royal Enclosure at Royal Ascot, often regarded as the world's most prestigious race meet. Over the
years, Kayne has frequented other international tracks and thoroughbred auctions, such as Deauville in
France, Newmarket in England, Galway Racing Festival, Goffs, and The Curragh, all in Ireland. She has
bought and sold horses on the international scene, both for herself and acting as an agent for others.

More recently, Kayne's career has included television and media developed around horse-racing and
retraining and travel. In 2003, Kayne reached 72 million homes as a reporter on the Outdoor Life
Network's (OLN) presentation of World Cup Show-jumping in Palm Beach and Palm Springs, produced
by Emmy-award winner Jim Carr. In the same year, Kayne debuted her now signature equine lifestyle
series Unbridled which is notably the first equine lifestyle show ever to be on network TV. Kayne also
has appeared on Gaelic TV in Ireland, NYC OTB, The Daily Racing Form's Live Show with Andy Serling,
and as a featured handicapper alongside John Pricci on New York's Capital OTB channel. She is often
called upon by the local media as an expert in all things equine. Her body of work with Unbridled
includes interviews celebrities, everyday horse people, and many famous names in the horse world,
among the racing -- Linda Rice, Todd Pletcher, Bill Mott, Steven Crist, Sean Clancy, Jean-Luc Samyn,
Bobby Frankel, Sanford Goldfarb, Merv Griffin, Neil Howard, Steve Klesaris, Dermot Weld, Joe & Anne
McMahon, Johnny Murtaugh, Bob Rynearson, Jorge Velasquez, Patrick Biancone, Jonathon Shepperd,
Gary Zarr and Tom Voss to name a few.

During the show’s first few seasons, Kayne galloped as an exercise rider for the stables of Christophe
Clement, Bill Mott, and Todd Pletcher, she subsequently shared those experiences on the air in an effort
to "unbridle" the myths surrounding horseracing  and help the general public understand the inner
workings of the thoroughbred world. Kayne’s efforts were recognized when Unbridled, in its premiere
season, won the U.S. Equestrian Federation’s Excellence in Broadcast Media Award and two national
Telly Awards.
In 2008, Kayne was a featured player on Fox Sport's Best Damn Poker Show; she is
fondly known across the felt as u
nbridled and thoroughly enjoys the game.

Kayne loves to share the joy of horses with audiences whether speaking at major equine venues or
introducing a child on a field trip to the pleasure of touching a horse for the very first time.

Additionally, Kayne is a vegetarian and huge proponent of an all organic lifestyle. She resides in
Greenville, NY with her husband Andrew Elsbree who is a Certified Journeyman Farrier (CJF), fifteen
beloved horses and her precious housecat "Kitty" aka
The Huntress (pictured left).
